Children's organisational skill:

children organisationOur classes follow a highly structured routine, with 5 specific phases. In each phase, children line up in a different formation (grid, rows, partners, circle).

Training begins with students learning to be fluent in these formations (in some ways similar to the type of drills practised in classical martial arts as practised in the Shaolin Temple).

children organisationOnce children can fluently negotiate these formations the content of each of these patterns gradually increase in complexity eventually resulting in graceful and practical techniques.

Through this highly organised process, children always know both where they should be in the class and what they should be doing. For children now facing a complex, confusing and even frightening world, the security and confidence developed through this approach is a very powerful emotional experience and primes them for taking the power of organisation into other aspects of their life.
