What is the minimum number of children you will take?

Children find our classes very enjoyable and even small classes very quickly grow so we are happy to begin classes with as few as 2 children.

What investment do we need to make in equipment & where do we source it?

For safety reasons we train on soft mats and most schools have adequate gym mats available.

If classes are going to be run as part of the school day where all children train, a more significant investment in mats can be made. We recommend mats from Hope Education.

Mats are approximately £80 each and usually 8-10 are needed.

How much real experience do you have teaching in schools?

We have fairly significant experience. Our chief instructor teaches 6-10 hours a week in private schools and has done so for over 10 years. This includes running after school clubs and teaching the system as part of the school day.

What are the risks of children getting hurt?

Very low- safety is a priority and in 15 years of teaching we are happy to report no injuries beyond the occasional bruise or cut lip.

Are the children going to practise fighting in the play ground?

There is no "fighting" of any description in our classes and all the games and techniques we teach require a partner's cooperation. Many of the games are very enjoyable and safe and children do play them during break time.

We run a number of classes outside school where children can continue their training.

Will you write reports for parents?

Yes. These usually take the form of 2-3 sentences about the physical, intellectual, emotional or social progress of each student in the class.
