7 year old student elected to Student Council

WetherbyWe are very proud of Nicholas C. elected to the student council of Wetherby preprep school. Nika is 7 and English is his second language. Here is his speech:

nikaHello hamsters and guinea pigs,

My name is Nicholas C. and I am running to be in school council!

I would try to tell the teachers that if we go to games and play football, tag rugby and rugby why can't we also do martial arts. I would like the school to have a larger martial arts hall where we can do all the lessons with Edwin Edelstein! I think our hall is too small because we are all squished up in assembly and we can barely move around! I also feel Mr Snell should make the hall bigger because martial arts is not just about fighting it is also about team work and getting fit! I mean if you come home one day and tell your mum you can do the splits she would probably faint and wouldn't that be nice! So that would bring a whole lot more children in to the school and we would need to have a bigger hall anyway!

I would also like to speak to you about lunch meals, so I could advise that garlic bread pizza, hotdogs and lemon cake are the best foods I can think of! I would like to make everyone happy if I was to be voted in to school council! So if I was elected I would do a vote, It looks this.

- Pizza
- Garlic Bread
- Hot Dogs
- Carrot Cake
- Ice Cream
- Lemon Cake

So if I`m elected I will ask the kitchen-ladies to try and make the winning food the most!

So thank you for listening to my speech and I hope you vote for me!

Have a great day!

PS (I vote one for pizza because I like it the most!)

We wish Nicholas every success.
