Judo & Children
Jigoro Kano, the Ju Jitsu master who founded Judo, was a professor of education. He considered Ju Jitsu as having the seeds of an excellent system of physical education. Kano systemised Ju Jitsu and removed the dangerous techniques.

Kano championed his system and was responsible for Judo becoming part of the Japanese schooling system, the standard system   of combat employed by the police and an Olympic sport.

Now the sport rather than the educational aspect of Judo predominates and many students are returning to Ju Jitsu as a method of self- cultivation as originally intended by Professor Kano.

The relationship between Ju Jitsu and Judo is very close and all aspects of training in MAE are compatible with, and complimentary to Judo training.
